Many of us suffer from some type of skin condition whether it be dry, itchy or easily irritated skin. DIY products are making a HUGE impact and they are simple and affordable methods to creating exactly what you want. Don’t dig the chemicals in many name brand lotions? Make your own! This recipe is based from my essential oil magazine and has been used plenty of times. Feel free to switch some ingredients out and make your own unique blend!

Oats are added into this recipe because they have amazing skin benefits. The epsom salts are often used to relieve muscle tension and stress. Tea Tree oil is one of the most popular solutions to…basically everything as it’s an all-natural cleanser. Lavender and Frankincense are for a relaxing, uplifting and spiritual feel. Together, these ingredients will help you with various skin annoyances. Time to wear your tank top and cute little shorts again with confidence!

What you will need:

Instructions:

  1. Grind oats in a food processor or coffee grinder into a fine flour-like texture.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl until oils are evenly distributed.
  3. Store in a glass jar and use about 1 cup of mixture per bath.

*You can create a pouch or purchase bath tea bags if you’re not into the whole oats-floating-in-your-bathtub-thing.*

Some other favorite oils for skin care:
